From doing three nude scenes Mallika Sherawat donned the Keralian garb to seek blessing of for the snake that she turns into in her upcoming film ‘Hissss’. The actress went to Kerala and prayed her souls out at the Mannarasala Sree Nagaraja temple.

The temple in the Alappuzha district of Kerala is a well known for devotees seeking blessing from the serpent gods. So Mallika whose last film was ‘Maan Gaye Mughale-E-Azam’ in spite of having a stellar cast failed to create a ripple in box office. Also she was not seen on-screen all through 2009; hence this time around she is leaving no stones unturned to make this film a success for her.  At the moment she is not shying away from promoting her film through television serials or getting some blessings from the higher authority.

Few days back Mallika was spotted at Ajmer Shariff. Sherawat is pretty happy that her film has been passed by the censor board without any cuts, in spite of having three nude scenes; this Jennifer Chambers Lynch’s film also has actors like Divya Dutta and Irrfan Khan. Mallika plays the role of a half human and half snake.

It’s almost after two decades that a film based on snakes is being released. The film is primarily in English but has been dubbed into three regional languages too, it will hit the theaters this Friday, Oct’ 22, 2010.
